Biography

I collaborate with several excavation and survey projects in the north of Jordan, including the Abila Archaeological Project and the Mission Hauran Jordanien

My research focuses on the Near East between the Roman and the early-Islamic period, with a particular emphasis on the archaeology and history of rural settlement, patterns of human mobility and migration.

A former CBRL Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow in Amman (Jordan), I direct the CBRL-affiliated ‘Productive landscapes project’, which studies wine and oil producing infrastructure in north-west Jordan. I collaborate with several excavation and survey projects in the north of Jordan, including the Abila Archaeological Project and the Mission Hauran Jordanien.
